16 Terrorists Killed in Balochistan Operations
Security forces in Balochistan killed 16 terrorists during separate operations in Mastung, Turbat and Quetta on Wednesday, according to state media.
In Turbat, two terrorists linked to Fitna al Hindustan were neutralised in an intelligence based operation in the Jausak area. The operation also recovered weapons.
Mastung saw nine terrorists killed after they tried to attack a checkpost. Heavy weapons, ammunition and three motorcycles were seized.
In Quetta’s Aghbarg area, five terrorists attacked a police station and were killed in a gun battle. Police seized weapons and ammunition.
Other operations in Balochistan during the week killed additional terrorists and arrested suspects, with the province reporting a 7 percent rise in attacks from July to August.
