Pakistan’s Inter‑Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced that security forces neutralised 10 India‑sponsored terrorists in Gwadar, thwarting an attempt to destabilise the province.

Key Operational Highlights

  • 10 terrorists, including one female, were killed in separate engagements.
  • Operations targeted the Gabd Border Crossing and Gwadar city.
  • No security‑force casualties were reported.
  • A civilian embraced martyrdom during the attacks.

Balochistan’s Rising Terror Threat

The province has seen a 7% rise in attacks, from 83 in July to 89 in August, making it the most affected region according to the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies. ISPR has labeled Balochistan‑based groups as Fitna al Hindustan to underscore India’s alleged role in destabilisation. The latest operation follows earlier incidents where three terrorists were killed and a construction camp was defended, underscoring a surge in foreign‑backed threats.

Continued Counter‑Terror Campaign

President Asif Ali Zardari praised the forces for foiling the plot and condemned the exploitation of Baloch women for propaganda. Field Marshal Asim Munir vowed to hit Indian‑sponsored groups “to the fullest.” ISPR reiterated that counter‑terror operations will continue at full pace, aiming to eliminate foreign‑supported terrorism from Pakistan.
