Hanif Gohar elected ABAD chairman unopposed

KARACHI: Hanif Gohar has been elected unopposed as Chairman of the Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD), after the other candidates in the race stepped aside.

Candidates Hanif Memon and Fayaz Ilyas withdrew in his favor, clearing the way for his uncontested election.

ABAD members expressed full confidence in Gohar’s abilities and services, which led to his election as chairman without a contest.

Patron-in-Chief of the Allied Panel and former ABAD Chairman Mohsin Sheikhani congratulated Gohar on the outcome.

“I extend heartfelt congratulations to Hanif Gohar on being elected as Chairman ABAD unopposed,” Sheikhani said.

He described the unanimous decision of the Core Committee and members on ABAD’s leadership as “commendable.”

Sheikhani thanked the members and candidates for respecting the Core Committee’s decision.

He said the outcome reflected mutual understanding and trust among ABAD members in handing the leadership to Gohar.”

We hope that the newly elected chairman will play an active role in resolving the issues of the construction sector,” he said.
