Forces Kill 7 Terrorists in KP, Balochistan
Security forces eliminated seven terrorists in operations carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bara area, five terrorists were killed and large quantities of weapons and ammunition were recovered. The attackers were identified as belonging to Fitna al Khawarij, a designation used for the banned Tehreek-i‑Taliban Pakistan, and their hideouts were destroyed.
In Balochistan’s Chagai district, two terrorists were killed during a separate operation.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for their professional capabilities, courage and bravery, stating that the nation stands shoulder to shoulder with them in the fight against terrorism.
President Asif Ali Zardari also commended the forces and law‑enforcement agencies, affirming that anti‑terror operations would continue with full force until terrorism is eradicated.
Earlier in September, security forces had killed 10 terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 8 in Balochistan, with a total of 378 people killed in terrorist attacks in August according to the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies.
