Pakistan Navy Seizes $750M in Drugs
The Pakistan Navy seized narcotics worth about $750 million during a joint counter‑narcotics operation in the Arabian Sea.
The operation was carried out by ships PNS Hunain and PNS Yarmook, which boarded a suspicious boat during routine patrols and recovered more than 2,800 kilogrammes of drugs from concealed compartments.
Admiral Naveed Ashraf praised the officers and crew for their professionalism, vigilance and dedication, reaffirming the navy’s commitment to safeguarding national maritime interests and maintaining order at sea.
Earlier in June the navy seized roughly two tonnes of drugs near Gwadar, valued at $215 million, and in October last year it seized narcotics worth over $972 million from sailboats in the Arabian Sea.
