KP Governor Will Act if Centre Declares Emergency
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said he will play a constitutional role if the federal government declares a state of emergency amid rising unrest.
On October 4, 2026, Kundi met Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi at the Governor House in Peshawar to discuss the situation.
Both officials expressed concern over worsening provincial unrest and noted that police have been placed on high alert.
