PTI May Postpone Islamabad March

PTI is weighing postponing its planned protest march in Islamabad if the government meets three demands.

The party says it will consider delaying the march if the government agrees to hold free, fair elections within six to eight months, releases Imran Khan and other political prisoners, and launches a judicial inquiry into the May 9 and November 26 crackdowns.

PTI spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram said no such proposal is being discussed at party forums and that only Imran Khan can decide to postpone the march. Meanwhile, the federal government has deployed Rangers in Islamabad and several districts of Punjab to prepare for the protest.
