Trump Names Clayton AI Czar
President Trump has appointed former national intelligence chief Jay Clayton to head a new White House task force on artificial intelligence.
The task force, called the Super Intelligence Force, will focus on ensuring the United States continues to lead in AI development and protect American interests.
Clayton, who served as SEC chair and has no tech background, was confirmed as intelligence chief in July. The move follows concerns from researchers about AI risks and competition from China.
