NA-168 By‑Poll Voting Begins

Voting began at 8 a.m. in NA‑168 Bahawalpur by‑poll, pitting PML‑N’s Malik Munir Iqbal Channar against independent Wali Dad Cheema.

Polling is scheduled to finish at 5 p.m., with the Election Commission allowing voters to cast ballots beyond that time if they are within the polling station boundaries.

The election, which followed the death of Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar, has seen no reported incidents. The provincial commission deployed 307 presiding officers and 941 polling staff across 292 stations, and security forces were requested to ensure a peaceful process.

Earlier, an armed clash in Baqirpur injured three people during Cheema’s rally, but no further disturbances were reported on election day.
